Chief Executive Officer

Joshua D. Malcolm

Joshua D. Malcolm became the inaugural chief executive officer (CEO) of Lumbee Tribe Holdings, Inc. (LTH) dba Lumbee Holdings, Inc. (LH) in 2020. Malcolm is an enrolled member of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina and previously served as general counsel and corporate secretary for LH and its subsidiaries.

As an active member of the Lumbee Tribe in various roles over the years, Malcolm’s most prominent role was serving as Chief Justice of the Lumbee Tribe Supreme Court. He has served as general counsel and chief of staff for the University of North Carolina at Pembroke; and as associate general counsel for Fayetteville State University, both of which are a part of the University of North Carolina System.

Malcolm serves on the N.C. State Bar Council, N.C. Lottery Commission and the N.C. Medical Board.

Malcolm was a Distinguished Graduate of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke’s Air Force ROTC program. He served on active duty as an officer, contracting officer and aviator with the U.S. Air Force. After his service to our Nation, he earned his law degree from the North Carolina Central University School of Law.

Joshua’s sole priority at Lumbee Holdings is to, “lead a group of dedicated, competent and committed LH team members in our quest for excellence as we pursue business opportunities that will bring financial resources and opportunities to enhance the lives of our Lumbee Tribal citizens.”
